The home page was a starting point to help visitors discover new venues, explain the recommendation engine, and create an account. Clicking a venue let you to book an experience directly from the site. Venues control their profiles and pay a fee for each booked reservation. Reservation availability is shown in real time and the site serves as an online registration system for vineyards.
Early on in our conversations, the VineFinder CEO made it clear that he didn't want to create another snobby wine brand. The site had to be fun, personable, and appeal to millennials. Their branding consisted of bright colors with a quirky font. We illustrated a series of colorful characters that flowed with the brand and added an element of polish and fun to the site.
We crafted an onboarding process that helped segment visitors and gather info about their wine and venue preferences in a series of simple, fun steps. This information, along with reviews and historical data, to suggest what it believes are the best venue matches.
A huge portion of visitors were coming from mobile devices, so the site needed to be fully accessible regardless of the device.
Venues needed a place to manage their profile, check reservation info, and communicate with customers. We designed an admin panel that empowers venues to have full control over their profile and venue information.
